Cables for buildings
In a building, the Dutch building code (Bbl) sets the CPR class per building use and per space. YMvK Cca from stock complies where the Bbl calls for Dca or Cca; an extra protected escape route needs B2ca with smoke class s1. A building also needs installation wire, fire-resistant cable for circuits that must keep working in a fire, KNX bus cable and data cable.
Offices, schools, healthcare and residential buildings each ask something different of the cable. We supply installation cable from stock and tell you, space by space, which class the Bbl requires there.
Installation cable from stock
YMvK Cca is the standard installation cable in Dutch buildings and is held in stock in Dordrecht, as is green/yellow earth wire: H07V-R and the halogen-free H07Z1-K. We cut any length to size. If the cable needs to be more flexible, there is YMvK ss Cca with a class 5 fine-stranded conductor.
The class per space
In most spaces the Bbl calls for Dca. On a protected escape route in residential buildings, hotels and hospitals, among others, that becomes B2ca, and on an extra protected escape route in any building B2ca with smoke class s1. The H07Z1-K earth wire is held in stock in B2ca; for many halogen-free types we supply a B2ca version on request. With your enquiry we tell you which type fits that location, citing the provision.
Circuit integrity, building automation and data
For circuits that must keep working during a fire, such as a fire alarm system, there is cable with circuit integrity: JE-H(St)H Bd FE180 and NHXH FE180, the latter in its B2ca version on request. For building automation we supply KNX bus cable to the KNX specification, and for the network Cat 6A, Cat 7 and fibre.

Can YMvK Cca be used anywhere in a building?
No. It can where the Bbl calls for Dca or Cca. On an extra protected escape route the Bbl requires B2ca with smoke class s1, and on a protected escape route in residential buildings, hotels and hospitals, among others, B2ca as well.
Which cable for a fire alarm system?
JE-H(St)H Bd FE180: halogen-free, screened and with circuit integrity. Cca-s1,d1,a1 as standard, B2ca-s1a,d1,a1 on request.
Do you also supply residential projects?
Yes. Installation cable and earth wire from stock, cut to length. Other installation wire we supply to order.
