Q Cables
Call-off contracts
The copper price moves; your budget shouldn't. Lock in your cable now and call it off when you need it. With a call-off contract, the batch is ready in our Dordrecht warehouse at a price fixed from the day you sign.
How it works
- Tell us the types, sizes, total volume and term.
- We quote a price and fix it in a contract.
- We hold the batch for you in Dordrecht.
- Call off whenever it suits you, even the day before. The cable is on site within 1–2 working days, cut to length and labelled if required.
- You receive an invoice for each call-off order.
Who it is for
A call-off contract suits anyone who needs the same cable over a longer period. We work this way with installers, OEMs, wholesalers and procurement agencies.
What you agree
The types and sizes, the total volume, the price and the term. The term is usually one year, with flexibility to run beyond that or to extend it.
The copper price
Copper has become much more expensive in recent years. On the LME, the price averaged around USD 6,200 per tonne in 2020; so far in 2026 it is over USD 13,400, more than double. And the IEA expects mine supply to fall behind growing demand from grids and electrification, with a shortfall of around 30% by 2035. Lock in the price now and you know what the cable will cost, whatever the market does. If prices fall, your price stays the same. Locking in is about certainty, not betting on the market.
