Dutch halogen-free installation & power cable, 0.6/1 kV, Cca-s1,d1,a1
YMz1K is the halogen-free YMvK: the same trusted installation cable, but with an LSZH sheath and CPR class Cca for places with strict smoke and halogen requirements. We supply it to order, with the lead time stated in the quote.
YMz1K is the Dutch halogen-free (LSZH) installation and power cable for a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV, with plain copper conductors (solid class 1 up to 6 mm², stranded class 2 from 10 mm²), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) core insulation and a grey, halogen-free, low-smoke (LSZH) outer sheath. It is the halogen-free counterpart of the PVC-sheathed YMvK and carries the reaction-to-fire performance CPR class Cca-s1,d1,a1: in a fire it is flame-retardant, emits no corrosive halogen gases and produces only a low, non-opaque smoke. YMz1K is therefore specified for public and high-rise buildings, schools, hospitals, data centres and car parks. Where the Bbl requires B2ca, such as on an extra protected escape route or in a tunnel, a B2ca version is available on request. It is the same construction as the Belgian XGB and the German N2XH (CU/XLPE/LSZH), sold under its Dutch name. YMz1K is laid on trays and ladders, in conduit and trunking, clipped or drawn in; the flexible fine-stranded variant is YMz1K-ss and the steel-wire-armoured variant is YMz1Kas.

Applications
- Fixed installation in public buildings and data centres, and in the B2ca version on extra protected escape routes and in tunnels.
- Anywhere YMvK falls short because of smoke or halogen requirements.
What to look out for
- If the specification asks for B2ca, say so with the enquiry; as standard we supply Cca-s1,d1,a1.
- The flexible version is YMz1K-ss; the armoured one is YMz1Kas.

YMz1K is the halogen-free counterpart of YMvK: the same copper cores and XLPE insulation, but an LSZH sheath instead of PVC. As a result YMz1K achieves class Cca-s1,d1,a1, against Cca-s2,d2,a3 for YMvK Cca. Choose YMz1K where the specification calls for halogen-free or smoke class s1, and YMvK Cca where Dca or Cca with smoke class s2 is enough. On an extra protected escape route even YMz1K in its standard class is not enough: there the Bbl requires B2ca with smoke class s1.

The construction is the same: copper cores, XLPE insulation for 90 °C and a halogen-free sheath, for 0.6/1 kV. The difference lies in the standard. YMz1K follows the Dutch NEN 3618, N2XH the German DIN VDE 0276-604. Choose the type whose designation appears in the specification.
