H07ZZ-F
LSZH cross-linked flexible cable, halogen-free, 450/750 V
H07ZZ-F is the halogen-free counterpart of H07RN-F: a flexible, rubber-type cable for 450/750 V with cross-linked LSZH insulation and sheath. For stage and event technology, UPS and mobile equipment in public buildings and tunnels. Supplied to order; the lead time is stated in the quote.
H07ZZ-F is a harmonised flexible cable to EN 50525-3-21 with halogen-free cross-linked (thermosetting) insulation and sheath, rated 450/750 V. It is the low-smoke, halogen-free counterpart of H07RN-F and is intended for the connection of mobile and portable equipment, temporary installations, stage and event technology, UPS and mobile power units and machines in locations where fire safety, low smoke density and the absence of corrosive gases are required, such as public buildings, tunnels and transport infrastructure. In the event of fire the cable does not propagate flame and emits only low quantities of smoke and no halogen acids. The cable may be used in dry, damp and wet locations and outdoors; it is not intended for continuous reeling or forced-guided use.
Also known as: halogen-free rubber cable · rubber cable
Applications
- Stage and event technology and temporary installations.
- UPS and mobile power units and mobile equipment.
- Connecting equipment in public buildings, tunnels and transport infrastructure with low-smoke requirements.
What to look out for
- Halogen-free and low smoke, but flame-retardant, not fire-resistant.
- Not for motorised reels or drag chains; for those use a drag-chain cable (PUR-JZ) or a reeling cable such as NSHTOEU.
- H07ZZ-F falls outside EN 50575 and so has no CPR class. Where the cable is installed permanently in a building and exposed to indoor air, the Bbl requires at least Dca, and B2ca in a tunnel; choose a cable with that class there.

H07ZZ-F or H07RN-F?
H07ZZ-F
- halogen-free insulation and sheath
- flexing down to −5 °C
H07RN-F
- polychloroprene sheath
- flexing down to −15 °C
H07ZZ-F has halogen-free, cross-linked insulation and sheath: little smoke and no halogen acids in a fire. H07RN-F has a polychloroprene sheath and may be flexed down to −15 °C, H07ZZ-F down to −5 °C. Choose H07ZZ-F in public buildings, tunnels and at events with an audience. Outdoors in winter, or without a low-smoke requirement, H07RN-F is the usual choice.

H07ZZ-F
- cross-linked, rubber-type
- 450/750 V
- outdoors and in wet locations
H05Z1Z1-F
- thermoplastic
- 300/500 V
- dry indoor locations
Both are halogen-free, but for a different duty class. H05Z1Z1-F is a thermoplastic cord for 300/500 V and medium duty in dry indoor locations. H07ZZ-F is cross-linked and rubber-type, for 450/750 V, and may also be used outdoors and in wet locations. For appliances and pendant luminaires indoors choose H05Z1Z1-F; for stage technology, UPS and machines H07ZZ-F.
