H07BN4-F is the extra-heavy rubber cable for 450/750 V: EPR insulation with a heavy-duty CSP sheath, designed for 90 °C. For the heaviest applications: cranes, conveyors, mobile machinery and generating sets. Supplied to order; the lead time is stated in the quote.
H07BN4-F is a harmonised heavy-duty flexible cable to EN 50525-2-21 with EPR rubber insulation and a heavy-duty chlorosulphonated polyethylene (CSP) sheath, rated 450/750 V and designed for a maximum conductor temperature of 90 °C. It is intended for supply and control connections under very heavy mechanical stress, such as mining, quarrying, construction sites, cranes, conveyors, mobile machinery and generating equipment, in dry, damp and wet locations and outdoors. The sheath is oil-, weather-, ozone- and UV-resistant; the higher conductor temperature allows higher current ratings than H07RN-F for the same cross-section, and the cable may also be used in protected fixed installations up to 1,000 V AC where the relevant installation rules permit. It is not intended for continuous reeling or forced-guided use.
Also known as: heavy rubber cable · CSP cable
Applications
- Power and control for cranes, conveyors and mobile machinery.
- Mining, quarrying and construction sites under very heavy duty.
- Generating sets and temporary installations, indoors and out.
What to look out for
- Reinforced sheath for heavy duty, but not a reeling cable: for motorised reels or drag chains choose NSHTOEU or PUR-JZ.
- The 90 °C conductor temperature gives more capacity than H07RN-F at the same size.
- Conductor
- Fine-wire stranded plain (bare) annealed copper, class 5 to IEC/EN 60228.
- Insulation
- EPR rubber (compound EI 7 to EN 50363-1), 90 °C.
- Sheath
- Chlorosulphonated polyethylene (CSP), heavy-duty compound EM 7 to EN 50363-2-1, round; black.
- Core colours
- To HD 308 S2: 1 core black; 2 cores brown, blue; 3 cores (G) green/yellow, brown, blue; 3 cores (X) brown, black, grey; 4 cores (G) green/yellow, brown, black, grey; 4 cores (X) blue, brown, black, grey; 5 cores (G) green/yellow, blue, brown, black, grey; 5 cores (X) blue, brown, black, grey, black; 7 cores and more black with white numbers plus one green/yellow core.

H07BN4-F or H07RN-F?
H07BN4-F
- 90 °C conductor temperature
H07RN-F
- 60 °C conductor temperature
The main difference is temperature: H07BN4-F is designed for a 90 °C conductor temperature, H07RN-F for 60 °C. As a result H07BN4-F may carry more current at the same cross-section. Both are 450/750 V and neither is a reeling cable. Choose H07BN4-F for generating sets, cranes, conveyors and other heavy applications with high currents, and H07RN-F for ordinary site and machine connections.

H07BN4-F
- harmonised, EN 50525-2-21

NSSHOEU
- German VDE 0250-812
- 0.6/1 kV
H07BN4-F is a harmonised cable to EN 50525-2-21 for 450/750 V. NSSHOEU follows the German VDE 0250-812 and is built for 0.6/1 kV. Both are heavy rubber cables for very high mechanical stress, such as on cranes, conveyors and mobile equipment. If the specification calls for 0.6/1 kV or VDE 0250-812, choose NSSHOEU; if it calls for a harmonised cable, H07BN4-F.
