H05RN-F
Light rubber flexible cable, polychloroprene sheath, 300/500 V
H05RN-F is the light rubber cable for 300/500 V: EPR insulation with an oil- and weather-resistant polychloroprene sheath. For portable appliances and tools under light duty, including outdoors. Heavier work: H07RN-F. Supplied to order; the lead time is stated in the quote.
H05RN-F is a harmonised light-duty flexible cable to EN 50525-2-21 with EPR rubber insulation and a polychloroprene (CR) sheath, rated 300/500 V. It is intended for supplying portable and hand-held appliances and tools subject to light mechanical stress in households, kitchens, offices and workshops, in dry, damp and wet locations, and for permanent use outdoors under ordinary-duty conditions. The polychloroprene sheath is oil-, ozone- and weather-resistant and the cable is flame-retardant. Heavier mechanical duty, larger cross-sections or a 450/750 V rating call for H07RN-F.

H05RN-F or H07RN-F?
H05RN-F
- 300/500 V
- 0.75 and 1 mm²
- light mechanical stress
H07RN-F
- 450/750 V
- up to 630 mm²
- high mechanical stress
The same material, EPR insulation under a polychloroprene sheath, but a different duty class. H05RN-F is 300/500 V, comes in 0.75 and 1 mm² and is for light mechanical stress. H07RN-F is 450/750 V, is built for high mechanical stress and goes up to 630 mm². For light portable appliances H05RN-F is enough; for the building site, machines or more than 1 mm² choose H07RN-F.

H05RN-F
- polychloroprene sheath
- oil-resistant
- may be used permanently outdoors
H05RR-F
- ordinary rubber sheath
- not oil-resistant
- intended for indoor use
Both are 300/500 V rubber cables with EPR insulation. H05RN-F has a polychloroprene sheath that is oil-, ozone- and weather-resistant and may be used permanently outdoors. H05RR-F has an ordinary rubber sheath, is not oil-resistant and is intended for indoor use. For outdoors, wet locations or contact with oil choose H05RN-F; H05RR-F is for portable appliances in dry and damp indoor locations.
