Application

NSGAFOEU is the flexible single-core rubber cable for 1.8/3 kV: EPR core under a tough PCP sheath, for switchgear, traction and mobile equipment. Supplied to order; the lead time is stated in the quote.

NSGAFOEU is a flexible single-core rubber cable to DIN VDE 0250-602, rated 1.8/3 kV. The fine-wire class 5 copper conductor is insulated with EPR rubber and protected by a tough polychloroprene (PCP) outer sheath. It is used for flexible power connections under mechanical stress: switchgear and distribution boards (short-circuit- and earth-fault-proof up to 1,000 V), traction and rail vehicles, buses, mobile machinery, and device and panel wiring in dry, damp and wet locations, indoors and outdoors. The cable is oil-, ozone- and weather-resistant.

Applications

  • Flexible power connections in switchgear and distribution boards.
  • Traction, rail vehicles and mobile equipment.

What to look out for

  • 1.8/3 kV: the choice where H07V-K (450/750 V) is not allowed, such as in 1,000 V circuits, for short-circuit- and earth-fault-proof wiring and with voltage peaks on drives.
  • Finely stranded class 5: crimp lugs or ferrules.

NSGAFOEU or single-core H07RN-F?

NSGAFOEU

  • 1.8/3 kV

single-core H07RN-F

  • 450/750 V

Both are flexible single-core rubber cables with EPR insulation and a polychloroprene sheath. The difference is the voltage class: H07RN-F is 450/750 V, NSGAFOEU is 1.8/3 kV and made for short-circuit- and earth-fault-proof installation up to 1,000 V. Choose NSGAFOEU for 1,000 V circuits, in switchgear and distribution boards and on rail vehicles and buses. For ordinary flexible single-core connections in a 230/400 V system H07RN-F is enough.

NSGAFOEU or H07V-K?

NSGAFOEU

  • EPR insulation, PCP sheath
  • 90 °C
  • outdoors and in wet locations

H07V-K

  • PVC insulation, no sheath
  • 70 °C
  • conduit, trunking and enclosures

H07V-K is a wire without a sheath: PVC insulation for 70 °C, intended for conduit, trunking and the inside of enclosures. NSGAFOEU has EPR insulation under a tough PCP sheath, is designed for 90 °C and is oil-, ozone- and weather-resistant, also in wet locations and outdoors. If the connection runs outside an enclosure or trunking, under mechanical stress or in a 1,000 V circuit, it is NSGAFOEU.
