Which one do I choose?

H05VVH2-F or H05VV-F?

H05VVH2-F

  • flat
  • two cores
  • without earth
  • 0.75 to 1.5 mm²

H05VV-F

  • round
  • 2 to 5 cores
  • also with earth
  • also larger cross-sections

H05VVH2-F is flat: two cores side by side, without earth, from 0.75 to 1.5 mm². H05VV-F is round and comes with 2 to 5 cores, including green/yellow earth, and in larger cross-sections. Choose the flat cord for a class II appliance where the cord must lie flat. If the appliance needs an earth, or for portable tools, it is H05VV-F.

H05VVH2-F or H03VVH2-F?

H05VVH2-F

  • 300/500 V
  • 0.75 to 1.5 mm²
  • medium duty

H03VVH2-F

  • 300/300 V
  • 0.5 and 0.75 mm²
  • very low stress

Both are flat, PVC and two-core. H05VVH2-F is 300/500 V for medium duty and runs from 0.75 to 1.5 mm². H03VVH2-F is the light 300/300 V version in 0.5 and 0.75 mm², for lamps and small appliances under very low stress. For a heavier class II appliance, such as a vacuum cleaner, choose H05VVH2-F.
