H1Z2Z2-K is the solar cable to EN 50618 for the DC side of a PV installation: tinned class 5 copper, halogen-free cross-linked rubber insulation and sheath, 1.5 kV DC, UV and weather resistant and rated for a 90 °C conductor temperature (120 °C for 20,000 hours). In red and black, for roofs, solar parks and floating installations.
Solar cable to EN 50618 and IEC 62930, suitable for both fixed and mobile solar installations (solar parks, rooftop systems and floating plants). The standard sizes from 2.5 to 25 mm² in black and red carry the TÜV Rheinland mark. Highly flexible, compatible with all common connectors and designed for connecting solar panels and PV strings.
Also known as: solar cable · PV cable
Applications
- DC cabling between panels, strings and inverter on roofs and in solar parks.
- Floating solar plants and wet environments: suitable for damp and wet conditions.
- Mobile and temporary PV arrays, with connectors of the common makes.
What to look out for
- DC side only. After the inverter, continue with ordinary installation cable, such as YMvK Cca.
- Red for positive, black for negative, so polarity stays correct when the installation is extended or parts are replaced.
- Connectors of the same type and make on both sides, crimped with the matching tool. Mixed connectors cause contact resistance and heat.
- UV resistant, but outdoors still run it in tray, conduit or under the panels, with no loose loops flapping in the wind.
- Eca does not meet the Dca that the Bbl requires where the cable is in contact with indoor air in a building. There, choose the Cca version, available on request.
